Benefits

There are many benefits of having a roof cleaned.  Not only does having your roof cleaned keep your home/business exterior looking in tip-top condition but also can same a lot of money as roof repairs can be very expensive.

When a roof is neglected it can look very unattractive and become very dirty.  However, there are many other reasons to having a roof clean.

Biofilm

Over time roofs can  build up with biofilm, which is a thin but very robust layer of bacteria and micro-organisms which stick to the surface and are difficult to remove if you try to do this yourself.

Moss

Moss can also grow and cling onto your roof which is very difficult to stop once it has taken hold.  Moss holds a lot of water which can add extra weight onto the surface of your roof, making it weak and unstable.  This can also cause tiles to lift and break if the weather causes freezing conditions.

Moss and other debris can build up on the roof and eventually fall into the gutters, causing water to over flow and unwanted expensive repairs.
